Yindjibarndi Elder Tootsie Daniel's Message to Tanya Plibersek

Senior Yindjibarndi Elder Tootsie Daniel is a traditional custodian of Murujuga, home to sacred sites and the oldest, largest rock art collection on Earth.

It's also home to Woodside's Burrup Hub, the most polluting fossil fuel project in the Southern Hemisphere. Toxic chemical emissions from Woodside's Burrup Hub are damaging the rock art.

Now Woodside want Federal Minister Plibersek to approve a 50-year extension for the gas plant.

Earlier this year, Tootsie was one of dozens of Elders, political heavyweights and Australian cultural icons to an open letter to Minister Plibersek urging her to oppose the expansion.

Hear from Tootsie in her own words on why Murujuga is a place that should be looked after and cared for — not a place for industry.

TAKE ACTION by sending an email to Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek in support of Tootsie Daniel and Murujuga custodians.
